mystery tank under galley sink - bluebird3208 - 06-11-2007 13:49 My 82 FC has a blue tank under the galley sink. It is about 6" in diameter and about a foot high. It says it is for use as a water softner tank, but i suspect it ts a whole bus water filter. It appears to be OEM bluebird.. does anyone know what it is for, and if it should be serviced? It is replenished by filling it with rock salt, flushing the salt out and then hooking it up to the fresh water feed. It had been disconnected. It is a water softener. After sitting so long I would replace it if I was going to use it.
