Ford 391 motor - boatman1197 - 06-28-2007 09:16 Hi Everyone, I'm one of those "lurkers" I am considering an early 70's FC with a Ford 391 gas engine in it. Does anyone have experience with that motor? Comments? pro / con Is that a solid motor? Big enough to do the job? thanks in advance for your help. Tom Ford 391 motor - davidkerryedwards - 06-28-2007 13:40 I don't think there's much experience here with that motor. Might want to try the FC- Wanderlodge yahoo group to see if there's anyone there with one. There was one for sale on Ebay within the past year. I think parts for that engine may be an issue. I'd check with NAPA or truck parts suppliers before jumping in. Doesn't seem like a lot of motor for a bird, but it is much more durable than the 390 out of somebody's 77 pickup. BobG > > I don't think there's much experience here with that motor.
