Air slow to pressure up - Scott Forman - 07-07-2007 07:36

Drove my bus today for the first time in a couple weeks. I took a LONG
time for it to build initial air pressure...like maybe 20 minutes or
more just to get to 90psi. Once on the road, everything was fine, it
just took a long time initially. Hi idle didn't seem to help.

Any idea what could cause this?

Check your air dryer and make sure the purge valve isn't leaking. You will
need to let the air completely down to check. The air pressure will tend to
close it once it has built up. Run the pressure up to about 60 pounds then
shut it off and check for leaks.
