Primus heater----Cold weather's a commin - Bob & Carol Howald` - 10-21-2007 08:00 I had a bad primus boiler on my coach (leaking) I was fortunate enough to acquire two used boilers that had been taken out to be replaced with the aqua-hot. I was able to use the acquired boiler to fix mine. While I had them out I cleaned the combustion chamber's on both of them plus cleaning the ignition plugs and burner's. They were a mess. I flushed both system line's out and replaced the antifreeze mixture. Now they work GREAT. they're very quiet. If your's have not been taken out and cleaned and system flush I really recommend doing it. They're built quite well but do get a lot of crud and soot in them. Iam sure mine had never been taken out and cleaned before. I believe if I had done it sooner I probably would not have had a bad one. It's not a hard job, just take's some time. If you rely on the primus system I recommend giving them a good cleaning..Worked for me...Bob 93pt40,Il.
