TAMPA 2008 FLORIDA RV SUPERSHOW - John - 01-01-2008 00:29
Just so you won't think that we have forgotten about the 2008 Florida
RV SuperShow in Tampa, Jan. 16-20, 2008, where the NEW Wanderlodge
will be unveiled, we are putting together the information on the Pre-
RV SuperShow meeting place, so that all of those that are attending
and want to park together can meet and then drive over to the
fairground and park together.
I can tell you that the Meeting place will be in the back parking lot
of Brocato's Sandwich Shop just off of Interstate-4 at Exit #3. I
will have a link for you in the next few days with more information
and a map. This meeting place is two exits, or about 4 miles away
from the fairgrounds.
Bruce and Laura Campbell will be taking care of this meeting place
and they inform me that they have actually driven over to the parking
area in their 'Bird to check it out and informed me;
"We have gotten permission to park behind Brocato's sandwich shop in
Tampa. They use to have a trailer park out behind the shop and there
are 10 to 12 trailer spots to park in and a closed side access road
that will hold 8-10 busses. Brocato's is one of the best sandwich
shops around and they can make sandwich trays, roast pork, black
beans and yellow rice if we want to order food sometime for the
rally."

hype on the legacy site resulted. For me, anything less than two
chrome stripes would be a legacy lost.
I just spent the last three days dry camped next to about 1,000
Illinois'ians at the Rose bowl. Drink up before the BB '08
unvailing, it seemed to help the crowd from Champaign.

Tom,
Tims USC alumni group had wine, cheese, and catered meals at the RV
tailgate. I wanted to have some fun and was thinking Keger,
cheezewizz and hamburgers. We parked next to the largest UofI group
I could find. I played the USC fight song on the musical horns every
hour on the hour and had the them convinced their fight song
was 'zip.a.de.do.dah'. By halftime, I was thinking maybe it is.
The UofI Champaign, Illinois students are a fine bunch.

We are still working out all the details, but it looks like we will
probably be dry camping. There aren't too many hookup sites at the
fair grounds. If you need to dump or fuel up there is a Flyin' J and
Camping world on I-4 one mile east of I-75, about 3 miles from the
fair grounds. We will be meeting at one of the best sandwich shops
in tampa, if you like Cuban's (the sandwich not he cigar) they make
the best one I've ever had (and I've had alot). I will be there at
8am (eating a breakfast sandwich on cuban toast) so call me on your
way in. Some things we will just have to work out on the fly.
Hopefully we will have more info soon.

I got this information from Conny Cranford a 'Bird owner, that I'm
sure will definitely help those 'Bird owners that want to attend the
2008 Florida RV SuperShow at Tampa, for the unveiling of the NEW Blue
Bird Wanderlodge, but will be arriving late. Here is what she has for
us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyone interested in dry camping at the show in an area near the
other Wanderlodge owners should enter the fairgrounds by the Martin
Luther King entrance. (You will be asked to pay $10 at that time.)
Then call Karian's cell phone (a manager with the fairgrounds) at 813-
477-3870. Identify yourself as being a Wanderlodge owner and
interested in staying overnight with the other Wanderlodge owners.
She will give you further instructions. Once you are parked, an
official from the park will come by each night you are there to
collect a $10 overnight fee for that night. (This is in addition to
the original $10) If you have a toad there is no additional fee to
bring it into the park and Karian will give you the necessary
information to use the service entrance at night after the gates are
closed if you want to go out for dinner etc. However, if you need to
exit the park with your car during normal fair/expo hours, you will
need to pay an additional $5 to get back in.

Good Morning All.
There have been questions as to how everyone will obtain tickets to
the RV Show. We will be picking up the tickets for the show today
from Macy and have them to distribute Wednesday at the Brocato's.
meeting place. If you are coming in later in the week please give us
a call (727-744-7692) or send us an e-mail and we will work out
details for getting you tickets.
