Buying a newer Bird - birdshill123 - 02-27-2008 05:29

We are currently in the market for a wide body, maybe 95 to 98. I am
looking at a few units and will soon decide when to see them in
person. They are located in the southwest and I will be looking for
someone to do a thorough inspection. I bought our last Bird using the
Vintage Bird guide and did fine. But the systems in the newer units are
more complex. Can anyone recommend a person to do this "survey" ?

THanks

I'd suggest you talk to Randy Dupree (http://www.buybyebluebird.com). He is a
broker for BBs and if he says it's OK, it's OK, and those he might
have listed will be very competitively priced.

Ralph Fullenwider, a long time forum member, has done detailed
inspections many times for prospective buyers. I remember Wallace
Craig recently posted that he has used Ralph's services several times
and saved himself from some purchases (cost-wise) that were not right
for his needs.
