David
TryDupli-Color 1618 Alpine green industrial engine paint.
I think you want to clean up and paint the alternator.
When I seen the alternator, that was the first color I thought of

Okay, you guys are really gonna think I'm nuts now. What
I need is Delco Remy paint. I believe it's chartreuse - er, ah,
some kind of greenish yellow I think. Anyone know where
I can get some?

If the paint comes with instructions for hot surfaces I am sure their
plan is best. I notice that with regular automotive finish, it works
best to flash coat a mist than spray just enough paint to color engine
parts and things that get hot. primers have too many solids and cook.
Fred, when you met me what was the first color you thought of?
