2008 RATS RESERVATIONS - John - 04-24-2008 07:47 2008 BLUEBIRD OWNERS RALLY ACROSS THE STREET OCTOBER 30 TO NOVEMBER 2, 2008 TWIN OAKS RV PARK & CAMPGROUND For Campsite Reservations call: 478-987-9361 Elko, Georgia (7 miles south of Perry @ exit #127) http://www.twinoaksrvpark.com/ For Rally Information contact; John Finn 803-783-7137 iamflagman@... Right now Twin Oaks is full of the reservations that we are alloted for our 2008 RATS rally and they will not release any more sites for RATS. I just talked to Barbara who is the owner of Twin Oaks and she has agreed to start a waiting list for those of you that would like to attend this years RATS rally and are willing to fill in any reservation that may be canceled, they will take your NAME and PHONE NUMBER and when a reservation is canceled, they will contact you and then after you give them a Credit Card number to hold that reservation, they will place you on the rally List of campsites. We are only alloted 40 sites for the rally and we really can't handle much more than that when it comes to their clubhouse facility, which was very full last year with the turnout that we had. We ask you to have patience, as there will most likely be more people that hear about the change of dates and location for the Rally In The Valley and will decide that they want to go to Bronson and that also coming to RATS will not fit into their plans, so please give all of this time to work itself out. The reason why Twin Oaks will not release more sites for our use is they do not want to give up the sites that are normally filled by RV's passing through the area on I-75 which is their bread and butter business and also those that normally come there at that time of the year every year, so we may not agree with their decision, but we will have to live with it. Next year may be another story, but there is more to think about as it takes a lot of volunteers to help get this rally up and running and until we get more people to step up and volunteer, we are limited as to what we can handle and we really would like to keep it a more intimate type of rally, rather than letting it get too big. If you don't plan on coming to RATS this year and you already have a reservation, please call Twin Oaks and cancel your reservation so that someone else can fill that spot.
