instrument cluster tc2000 - dave diamond - 05-11-2008 23:34 The main controller chip in the circuit board for my instrument cluster blew and i need a new cluster or a new chip to repair mine. my bus is a 1999 Blue Bird tc2000 (schoolbus type motorhome conversion). the Blue Bird factory has no stock on this item and says they cannot buy them anymore as the company that made them is out of business. they referred me to an electronics shop to get mine repaired. that shop said they cannot get the part they need either. i am waiting for a response from another repair shop now but i would like to find one from salvage if possible. the factory tells me that these clusters were used in 97 1/2 thru 2002 model years. If anybody knows of a tc2000 bus of those model years that is being parted out please email me, thanks, dave diamond instrument cluster tc2000 - Donald Watson - 05-12-2008 01:33 Dave, Do you know what the device is? Who was the manufacturer? Do you have a picture of the board? There is a good chance that someone on this forum or another would be able to assist you. If it is a removable programmable device, a chip from another bus could be downloaded and burned to a new chip. How about school bus maintenance yards? Have you tied the 'skoolie' forum? instrument cluster tc2000 - dave diamond - 05-13-2008 13:26 Thanks, I have posted on several other forums. don't know who manufactured the board but they are out of business and they apparently kept the chip and board data pretty secret. the chip or cluster must be programmed for my particular bus. blue bird dealers use the body number of the bus to program the new clusters. here is a link to a drawing of the cluster. the rectangular cluster in the middle of the dash (labeled #1 )is what i need: http://service.blue-bird.com/Parts/A3RE/A3RE_110_Instruments.pdf Dave Diamond --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Donald Watson" > > Dave, > > Do you know what the device is?
