I had previously, many years ago, used JC Whitney's material. Ralph has been doing that work the past few years and since he delegated me to do this task we chose insulation from Stephen Birtles. I thought Whitneys insulation was the best till I worked with this. Not only is it heavier but is thicker, also. Thank you, Stephen, very good product. insulation - erniecarpet@... - 11-27-2008 07:12 Just like Don said, the hardest part, due to the fact that there is a steel plate suspended about 3 inches from the roof of the compartment, is scraping the old off. I have a long handled scraper with a razor blade and will try and work on Bob Lawrence's engine compartment probably after it warms up a bit tomorrow-- and after I burn off the volume of what I consumed, today.
