We have just recieved a new shipment of composite insulation
1inch foam, vinyl blocker 1/4 inch foam,
Faced on one side with fiber reinforced mylar and hi temp pressure
sensitive adhesive on the other
Size 24x 54
Priced at 47.00 per sheet plus shipping
3 sheet bundles 40.00 per sheet plus shipping
shipping based on 34 pounds from 14305

I have just completed the insulation of Bob Lawrences generator
compartment. I had previously, many years ago, used JC Whitney's
material. Ralph has been doing that work the past few years and since
he delegated me to do this task we chose insulation from Stephen
Birtles.
I thought Whitneys insulation was the best till I worked with this. Not
only is it heavier but is thicker, also.

I used the same product from Birtles. Great stuff. The left overs were used for a base cushion for my antique chairs in the bus. High density foam on top of it. That is good also with new upholstery..

Just like Don said, the hardest part, due to the fact that there is a steel plate suspended about 3 inches from the roof of the compartment, is scraping the old off. I have a long handled scraper with a razor blade and will try and work on Bob Lawrence's engine compartment probably after it warms up a bit tomorrow-- and after I burn off the volume of what I consumed, today.

chunks of insulation which drops down on the hot engine and melts.

I put it in my engine compartment over three years ago & it is doing great. The hardest part of it was taking the old off.
