The burning question has alway been what is it?? When you hit the
official sites you get an official answer but I like to look at
things thru the eyes of participants past. A good way to view that
is to look at their photo albums on sites like flicker. It is best
to have your searches un censored to include adult content or you
will not get the truth. The event seems way cool but it looks like
some folks can only express art and culture by being too sexual and
off the wall. It might be that that is their culture and idea of
art?
If you do a flicker search of burningman you will find examples of
many contributers albums. Choose one shot that you like and view
their album. this will get you way inside behind the fence at the

and looks for color.

from the pics of many participants I would enjoy the event viewing
what I think of as 'art derived from talent', 'organization and
structure built by planning and labor' but too many folks (whom have
every right to be there) that I think of as 'freaks derived by
chemicals' keep me from a visit. Dont think I will ever go unless
the BLM sends a work order.
