Blue Ridge Parkway was--Re: Re: Trailer Lighting - Pete Masterson - 09-26-2008 09:10 Looks like park the bus and drive the toad is the best way to see it... We'll top off the tank before heading south. We're not leaving Pennsylvania until about 10/7 -- so hopefully the fuel supply situation should improve. Thanks to all for their comments -- it's a big help. Pete Masterson '95 Blue Bird Wanderlodge WBDA 42 aeonix1@... There are fuel shortages in Greensboro,Charlotte, Asheville, Atlanta, and I'm sure of areas in between. If you are coming this way, my zip is 28212, and you can use that with www.gasbuddy.com, or can check other states thru them. This reminds me of 1973.Thursday, as I tried to get gas with 1/4 tank left in Belmont, the guy in front of me got 50 cents worth before the station ran out. Bummer, I limped home, andnow have1/8 tank left. Good Luck, George Burke 1977 FC31 Charlotte

I suspect that cities are worse than truck stops out on the Interstates. Driving around Norfolk/Portsmouth today I saw bags on pumps at around 10% of the stations. Strangely they weren't the cheapest within blocks! There was a Rally station in Carrollton with a dozen or so islands at under $3.50 per gallon (average here is 3.69-3.89) and it was traffic jammed but appeared to be pumping on all islands.
