Two Drawer Dishwasher - Kurt Horvath - 10-25-2008 10:57 Greg, Post some pics and details Kurt Horvath 95 PT 42 10AC Two Drawer Dishwasher - Gregory OConnor - 10-25-2008 15:57 The washer dryer is in my kitchen behind the booth across the isle from the refer. Great piece of equipment but I only used it once in 4 years just to see if it worked. Most of the activity it gets is showing folks who tour the bus, "look it even has a Washer/dryer!" I went to an RV show last weekend and Tim decided he wanted a NewellCoach. when I asked why? he said it has a dishwasher. My thinking is ;splurging on the dishwasher I'm saving 1.199 mill.A Lateral shift The FisherPaykel has bad reviews online but I kind think (and hope) its operator error due to a big learning curve to overcome operating the thing. one of the features I like is the ;drawer locks with a vacumn pump, ;has a drip detection shut down at the supply ;very quiet ;2.5gal per load ;190deg on board waterheater. I bought a single drawer last week and decided to install a double so I alternate clean and dirty thereby never needing to empty the thing. A full door dishwasher wont open up across the isle in my bus All I got done today is removing the old washer dryer befor I was called off to dig a hole. hope Ican finish it Sunday Greg94ptCa --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Kurt Horvath" > > Greg, > > Post some pics and details > > Kurt Horvath > 95 PT 42 > 10AC > Two Drawer Dishwasher - Sandra - 10-26-2008 04:33 Usually I just lurk, but, I gotta tell you, the FisherPaykel dual drawer dishwasher lives up to its bad reviews and then some. I owned one and will NEVER buy another FP product. You MUST remove the silver plate at the bottom of each drawer and clean underneath once a month. You won't believe the gook that grows there. It will plug the drain and what a mess you will end up with. When you do need service, note that is a WHEN not IF, you will have a hard time locating anyone that actually knows what they are doing in the repair. After the first repair, I had to take it to the shop (no ONE in my area will even make a house call on them) every other month for the EXACT same problem. Finally I just trashed the whole thing and put in a regular DW... Good Luck you'll need it with that product !!! Two Drawer Dishwasher - Gregory OConnor - 10-26-2008 06:41 Sandra, thanks, I did notice that it didnt have a macerator and has a way small discharge hose. Thinking I gottta prerinse befor I put dirty dishes in. Kitchen aid sells one but it turns out it is just a repackaged FP. the new Maytag drawer seemed to not seal up as well. need a drawer because of the room needed to open. I had a Pinto,a Vega, and voted Bush. the dishwasher cant be the biggest mistake I ever made. I kept the vent equipment installed and under the new appliance in the event the NO (NextOwner) wants to put back a wash/dryer. Took heed of Sandra's warning and bought an extended service plan (I never bought one on an appliance, the web is a great voice, thanks Sandra) THe Washer/Dryer Splendide must weigh a good 150 pounds, the dishwasher only 75lbs. I removed the passanger seat from the pedistal and placed it on the sofa. took the door keep strap off to get a 95 degree open of the exit door . Closed the stepwell cover. cut a 2x4 brace aprox14 inches?? long to protect the stepcover plywood from cracking. propped the stepwell cover up with the 2x over the last bus step. backed a fullsize pickup truck to the door. using 3/4" plywood 1/2 sheet I made a ramp from the truck bed to the stepwell. http://www.pbase.com/gregoryoc/dishwasher Kurt, I had 6 Vegas, sold them all to one guy, some 4 years ago. If extended it sometimes has failures due to tension stress caused by Splendid leaving. Been there done that. 2008/10/26 Gregory OConnor <"Gregoryoc@aol.com">

Seriously, look closely at the bottom of the dishwasher. The stainless steel circle will rotate when you push and turn it. Remove it monthly, wipe out the base and get rid of the gook... Rinse your dishes well before washing. Good luck and I hope you have better luck! If it works as good as it looks you'll be fine. A seat for every A$$ was on of my dad's favorite sayings. He was a 40 year vet. with Pontiac. Only have to wash pots & pans and the occasional knife when the plastic one just won't do, and microwaveable food solves most of those occasions. ;-) Yeah, I wind up eating out more often than not... -Ryan '86 PT-40 8V92 On Sun, Oct 26, 2008 at 10:41 AM, Gregory OConnor > Sandra, thanks, I did notice that it didnt have a macerator and has > a way small discharge hose. Two Drawer Dishwasher - Frank Damp - 10-31-2008 09:33 During the time I worked in the VIP Airplane engineering group at Boeing, we handled about a dozen business jets, including a couple of head-of-state 747-400 conversions, which got the F&P dishwashers. A couple of them had one in the forward galley and another aft. I'm sure we'd have heard big time if they'd had problems. The VIP fleet engineering folks aren't shy about complaining if things keep breaking! As far as I know (been retired a while) nobody did. Frank Damp Anacortes, WA |
