RV Park Along I-10 (heading east) Between Fort Stockton, TX and Junction, TX? - Jack and Liz Pearce - 10-26-2008 11:46

Howdy, Y'all.

Any recommendations for an RV park between Fort Stockton, TX and Junction, TX that has 50 Amp service? Need power for that block heater.

TIA,

Balmorhea StatePark which is beyond the I-10 & 20 split on 10. It a good state park and is the home of a huge spring fed swimming pool which is used for scuba. Look at Texas State Parks web site andfor more info. It shows that it is at Toyahvale, Tx phone 432 375-2370. I don't find any mention of 50 amp but most Texas state parks now have it. We are currently sitting at Brownwood State Park and there are many 50 amp and long parking. I have been to Balmorhea several years ago and it was just off of I-10 as best I remember and the prices are right.

Fort Stockton RV park exit 264, $27.00 great onsite cafe serving breakfast and dinner, 50 amp and pull thru. Circle Bar RV Park, Ozona, Texas exit 372 (Taylor Box Road) $20.00 right across road from large truck stop owned by same people lots of facilities, 50 amp and pull thru. I stayed at the Fort Stockton park when it was a KOA and that it's a neat place. Year and years ago I used to stop at the Circle Bar truck stop good food.

Howdy, Y'all.

Thank you to all that replied to my request. It looks as though Circle Bar RV park in Ozona will work. Balmorhea State Park will be a stop for next time.
