Transmision leak? - Jeff August - 05-30-2005 10:48

Returned home today from our first real trip in our Bird, 900 miles of
wheel griping fun.(Chicago will make any trip more stressfull)Looked
around after we got home and noticed the housing on the rear of the
transmision wet with fluid, it seems to be coming from a 1/4 inch
copper tube that points forward from the housing. Also how do I check
the fluid level? Is it like a automatic trans. on a car.(In gear with
foot on brake)Type of fluid?
Thankyou for your help! If we had some manuals with ours it would make
some of this easier.

Check the FC trans fluid idling in neutral, better when hot than cold.
