Bluebird closing - Ernest Ekberg - 01-31-2009 11:39

This is, indeed, unfortuate. Brenda and I are hosting a mini rally,
at our place in Texas. We currently have 4 coaches present and an
additional 3 owners who have come to visit. We have been talking and
discussion the recent news. The concensus from us, is, we are sad.
Can we do anything about this situation? No
Do we need to wait till we hear more news from CCW? YES.
Should we vent our frustrations over the facts? NO
I guess since nobody is wanting me to do any flooring that I should
spout off. Won't do it. Would not be constructive.

We can all offer advice till the cows come home on what if and what
for.
That's not what this forum represents. We are here to help people
with Bluebirds. And to that end we will all try and strive to be the
best we can be.
This forum has helped so many folks, including yours truly. Now and
in the future, we will be needed more and more.
Let's stick together and keep these magnificent machines rolling.

Anyone have any idea how many of the new '09 units were actually
built?

Bluebird closing - Jeff Flatt - 01-31-2009 14:27

I used to work at the Blue Bird facility on the school bus side of the road. I work for Peach County Schools now and I drive behind Coachworks on 341 everyday and I had noticed that the gates in the rear were pad locked and there was no security company patrolling the grounds. It's sad to hear. I have several friends that worked in that place and they loved it.

Bluebird closing - Macy Neshati - 02-02-2009 04:03

Ernie

Just wanted to let you know that the the announcement by Brenda was premature and inaccurate. We have stopped any further operations at Fort Valley while our banks and financial group review our organization, business plan for continued operations and the forecasts. We should be through that process and know something more definitive in the next couple of weeks and once we know our final course, we will share that with the owners first hand.

In the mean time I think I have finally gotten wise enough not to worry about arguing or presenting our case on the forums because the solid people like yourself are wise enough not to believe all the rumors, but rather to reach out to us and ask the questions knowing they will get honest answers. The rest of the group just wants bad news so they can feel vindicated somehow and there just isn’t any sense in trying to deal with them.

Thanks again for your support I will personally get in touch with you once our course becomes clear and final.

Best always and travel safe.

What's for ever?????? I am sorry they are gone but I have some get
mechanics numbers on my Blackberry and a great one in the house.
Parts maybe a problem but adapt and redo are a solution. A good
solution would be make a list of any Birds that are not rolling and
maybe able to be parted out. We have had to replace some thing using
our buddy up at the Falls several times. Some things may have to be
rebuilt. As long as we have resources, we can keep rolling. Now I
would hate to put a blue door on that Purple Jus Chillin, but paint
is available.

As long as the big truck companies and the shops like Clydes(Texas)
and Charles (Louisiana) are open we can "giddie up" across American
or "Waltz You Across Texas". Just think about all the SOB's that went
under and some of then fall apart after 100,000 miles. Aren't we
lucky to be driving a BlueBird.

And In closing Thanks to you Macy and the company for trying.
I will truly miss the Bird's Nest.

Hugs Ms. Patticake

Bluebird closing - Al Scudder - 02-03-2009 04:40

Macy, we hope to hear from you in the near future. Your remarks will be based on good business judgment and what is good forthe Company. Negative comments are filtered by everyone after they have been able to digest what is happening. We on the outside would certainly like to see BB comeback to it's glory but whatever the decisions are It will be the best no matter what the outcome. I would think that the large majority of BB ownersrespect the decision just as those who have al ready been there have. Have some extra patience for the children,
In any case going FORWARDis be right position and direction
