I want to service two of the cruisairs on our 82 FC 35. Can anyone
give me the basics of whats involved? I want to recharge them as well
i believe as they are not blowing cold anymore?

Justin, the outside units can be cleaned. The units are R-22 and they have the ports for a tech to attach his gauges to. I had a problem with my middle one where the outside fan was bad. Thus it would not cool. I replaced the fan for about 80 bucks and it works great. You can wash out the fins that are way inside as those are the heat dissipators and get a lot of road crud.

Thanks Ernie,

I will clean the units well, should i take the plate off on the left
side of the units and clean and look around? Is it possible for me to
refill with R-22 or do i have to get someone to do that?

If you have the gauges and know the pressure requirements of that unit, yes. Also, the inside units have 2 screens that need to be cleaned. I have taken the fan off on the outside unit so I can reach the coils, better.
