David,

Do search on this, I recall quite a bit of chatter on this not long ago.

This has come up in the past. The OEM cap was, apparently, 7 PSI. When I had my radiator core replaced, the radiator shop replaced the OEM cap with a 15 PSI cap. I've had no troubles with the radiator, cooling system, nor excessive coolant loss since the work was done 2-1/2 years ago.

Stewart & Stevenson Detroit/Allison in Tuscon, AZ just replaced my coolant with
Detroit PowerCool and they put a new 10psi cap on.
