Genset battery consistently connected to house batteries - Jean Eichenlaub - 07-17-2009 04:00

We have a slightly different problem. The genset battery and house batteries seem to be permanently wired together. Shouldn't there be a switch somewhere to isolate the genset? Can't find anything near the genset. Where would the factory have installed such an item? If it wasn't a standard feature (the fact the dash has a rocker switch to throw the genset battery in while starting makes me think it was) has anyone installed one?

You should have an isolator. Mine was located on the top of the battery compartment

The solenoid for the "tie" should be near the step area. One side of that
solenoid also feeds the HWH hyd motor.
