FC ignition switch - Chuck Wheeler - 07-21-2009 10:38 Today when I tried to start our Wanderlodge the ignition switch disappeared into the bolster. After I dug it out I discovered that the decorative ring that holds it in place had fractured. I took a quick look through the files to see if anyone had replacedone and knew the part #. I did not see any so I am asking if anyone knows a part or an application that I can take to - Chuck Wheeler-
1982 FC 31SB Fort Worth TX FC ignition switch - sfedeli3 - 07-22-2009 00:43 Chuck, It's been quite a while since I had mine out. I was able to easily find a replacement at NAPA or Pep Boys- can't remember which one. My PT has a small enclosure that hides all the wires to the switch. Once you take the cover off that enclosure, it should be pretty easy to remove the switch. Just make sure to tape the wires and mark them with numbers to wire the new switch correctly. Mine has a standard "Acc"-"Off"-"On"-"Start" setup. Not sure if that's called a 4-position or 3-position switch. I finally found it in an around about way. Tom Warner provided similar information on a different forum. The part number he provided was also for a PT, but when I looked it up there was the FC switch and part # right beside it! BB#0770339 which converted to a S-1603. Took this to NAPA this AM and should have a switch by tomorrow.
