Headlights going on and off - ingamar2 - 07-24-2009 10:37 I got into a rain storm the other day and had to turn on my lights. When in hi beam I noticed the lights (head lights and dash lights) would go off for about 10 sec and then come back on for about 20 sec. This pattern continued untill I went to low beam. If I put the lights on Low then they seem to stay on all the time. I had the light go off for a few seconds in the middle of the night last fall and that was not a good thing. Didn't notice a patern at that time. If anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix it please let me know. Might also be a bad relay. Time to start poking around in the main circuit panel. Headlights going on and off - Don Bradner - 07-24-2009 11:56 Since our coaches are the same year, it is possibly similar to my experience. It was a little worse, because I would also get "Do Not Shift" warnings when the breaker would trip. I found that the main wire bundle from the dash passed over a fairly sharp-edged bar of steel that runs all of the way across behind the dash. Wires had chafed there and begun to short. My repair was to use rubber electrical tape around affected wires, and put a split-rubber tubing along the top of the steel edge. If you are in Bigfork I figure I'm about 55 miles as the crow flies from you. Substantially more by road!
