Eureka!! Air leaks and projects done - Ralph Fullenwider - 10-05-2009 05:34

Hello everyone:

I have had time to do some work on Ruff Diamond lately. Of the several
projects I have completed, one was chasing air leaks. After replacing 2 air
bags on the rear and pulling valves, tearing them down, cleaning then lube
and re assemble and tightening the 2 bolts on top of the 65 psi sensor
units we have holding air in the tanks!!! After bringing the air tanks up
and getting the op off, I have shut the Coach down and 14 days later, there
is still aprox 100 psi still showing on the gauges. And I left the
suspension up on purpose and it stay up for 4 days before starting to drop
slightly. The air breaks passed the leak down test, so I am going to yell
that one as Eureka!

Another project I finished was to re wire and re assign the 4 speakers in
the Salon, under the cabinets, to an external amplifier that I wired from
the tv external speaker jack. The speakers used to be the c/b sound and the
2 rear speakers were for the back up monitor.color tv speakers. Since the
digital I do not need the back up/color tv sound any longer and I took the
c/b off the front speakers and put the c/b on the drivers side digitel
speaker. I also re wired the digetel speaker over the kitchen table into
the new tv sound system and left that speaker on the on/off switch over the
table. This was to better hear the tv while eating at the table. Now even
with the A/C's running there is no problem with the audio from the tv. We
love it. All this went with the tv hide cabinet I built for the flat screen
that swings up for travel and swings down over the dog house when parked.

Safe travels,

Ralph,

I like the idea of rewiring some of the Digitel speakers. In fact, I'm waiting
to talk with folks at the Flying Flags Rally before I make any decisions to
change anything. But, I really would like to hear the TV by the table with the
AC is running!

Good for you; I guess that tracking down leaks isn't all that easy. Other than listining and soapy water, what?
See youall next week.
