I note that the tank is a little low on the aqua, blue/green colored fluid so I
called Aqua-Hot for this and even with an Aqua-Hot serial number the man
couldn't give me a definitive answer. In 1999/2000, he said, Aqua-Hot
used/recommended Etheylene Glycol (green) in their manufactured units. However,
the man said that he knew that BB used Prophylene Glycol (could be just about
any color) instead. I'd hate to wind up with a bad mixture. Anyone?? Thanks.

You can tell which to use by the size of the cap on the Aqua Hot tank. It it uses ethylene glycol it will have a large radiator type cap (about the size of a coffee cup). It is uses propylene glycol it will have a smaller cap (about the size of a tea cup). Suggest you call Aqua-Hot again with you model number/serial number. Ask to speak to Don. You can add propylene glycol to ethylene glycol. Early Aqua Hot units had the copper pipe carrying water bonded to the antifreeze tank outside the tank. Current models have the copper tubing inside the antifreeze tank. Ethylene glycol is poisonous where ethylene glycol is not. If there is doubt as to what antifreeze you have, use propylene glycol (can't tell by color). 50/50 with water.

Thanks for the replies guys. As we all know, nice as they are, there's a bit of
confusion out there about what BB may or may not have used on their coaches. I
got the clinching information from Roger Berke over on the Hydronic Heating
Forum. He included the link to the official Aqua-Hot change announcement. It
does appear logical that Bluebird would have used Ethylene Glycol in their 2000
and earlier models. After cross-checking the color of the mixture
(aqua/blue/green) in the Aqua-Hot tank with the stock on the store shelves, I
found that the color matched. So, I wound up topping off with the same Prestone
pre-mixed Ethylene Glycol that I have been using for the Genset and the D60. If
I am wrong, it's nice to know that I won't be screwing up the Aqua-Hot by adding
the EG to a PG mixture. Life is seldom so simple/convenient.
