I love my bird- finding out the true cost - iwhotoo - 06-22-2005 14:27 Boy, do I love my 'bird...1979FC35 na3208 Well, two weeks since I rolled her out of storage-so far I have repaired the wandering steering (easy) and washed her real good. I've gotten my registration current and bought insurance (progressive-159.00 a year for 100k/500k). I have found that all my grease fittings are very hungry. What kind of grease should I use for kingpins, driveshaft etc? For some of the lubing, it seems I need to take the weight off the front end-will using my levelers be enough? Where can I get a spring for a leveling jack (right-front)? I love this place...thank you all for being here I love my bird- finding out the true cost - Rose Mary - 06-23-2005 06:02 Hi just wondering how your fix the wandering steering (easy)? and wow sounds like amazing price on progressive, where are you?
