1984 PT for 12K - Ralph - 10-13-2010 13:50 It is an '83 PT 36 with a 6v92 and 12.5 kw Perkins Kohler. Owned by a nice couple from College Station. There were some issues from time to time and at one time, had been broken into the restored. I have not seen the Coach restored. I know of 1 or 2 ride height valves replaced and some electrical problems found and repaired. Have not seen the Coach in 5 years or so now so can't attest to present condition or maint. I'm guessing from experience that it didn't "sell" two days after being listed at $12,000 as might first appear. That is based partly on the incommunicado stance, the lack of description, phone number, or email address in the ad. (I find that somebody who sells usually will boast about it.) It's been a bizzare year trying to track these things down. Often the seller goes to show it and finds it won't start so takes the ad off to get it fixed, or removes the ad for personal reasons, such as illness, or some family member expresses an interest, or puts it on consignment. Also, there seem to be a large number of people who show up promising to be back with financing, etc., and then don't show, many, probably, because they couldn't get a loan, or shocked to find they had negotiated an over-book price. These usually get re-listed. Another possibility is that there was a bidder from the first ad who wouldn't budge above $10,000 until he sees the new ad go in. It sounded like the owners were known to some here. So, if anybody has a clue... That's less than 100 miles from me, so, if it's for real and comes back on the market, I hope to see it, and perhaps fight the mirage-fatigue. --WB --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "G" > > I see the posting has been deleted. You respond to them and get nothing back. If they don't want to respond I don't know why they bother listing things. Mark Northglenn,Co. http://www.wildflowerswest.org |
