Gray water holding tank leak - Royal - 08-15-2010 01:15

Recently I noticed that my gray water tank starts leaking when it gets about
half full. Has anyone else experienced this problem. If so what did you do to
fix it?

Hi Royal:
Have you tried to identify where the leak is coming from? There is a good chance
it is your gate valve if you have never replaced the seals. Dupree products has
all the replacement seals and if you replace the gate valve paddle seal you
should also replace the o-ring that seals the plastic mounting plate for the
paddle where it slides into the gate valve housing. I developed a leak in my
gray water tank last year and it was the o-ring so I replaced the paddle seals
and o-rings in both the gray and black water tanks. Now both gate valves work
much more smoothly and no more leaks.
