Power steering problem - chaunceyboyblu - 10-25-2010 11:08
Hello, we were driving along and noticed all the sudden our bus was hard to
steer. We are now stopped at a rest area about 5 miles after we noticed and
there is oil leaking at drivers side from about a 4ft 1 in diameter braided
hose. Can we continue to drive to a shop without damaging components or do we
need to stay put and attempt to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Robert, if you lose all your oil from hydraulics, your engine will overheat. I'll call

Power steering problem - Ernie Ekberg - 10-25-2010 11:21
I called Robert and since we are close to 4 hours different in time zones, advised him to take his adjustable wrench and size the nut on the hose and go to Napa, Harbor Freight, et all and get the correct size to fit the hose fittings. Those on the west coast may chime in before this old man goes to bed on the east coast.

Power steering problem - Fred Hulse - 10-25-2010 12:20
Robert,
You should change the hose and refill your oil reservior before continueing, unless you are extremely near a repair facility. This is a high pressure system and the balance of your oil will leak out quickly.
Good luck.
