exterior refrigerator vent/service access panel - chaunceyboyblu - 10-28-2010 04:17 Hello, When we got to our destination we noticed that the outside grill, vent panel thing for the refrigerator was missing. Anybody know of a source to find a replacement? Thanks so much! Here's one: http://www.adventurerv.net/dometic-refrigerator-rm2214-access-doorpanelvent-exte\ rior-polar-white-p-13855.html There's a dometic distributor in Portland that would likely have one, and probably any RV place can get one. It is different than the old one though, and better. You will need some grey putty tape as a sealer as the old frame has to come off and the new frame and door (hinged) goes on in the same hole. There must be some salvage yards too. This is where I would start and I bet you find what your looking for at very reasonable price. Both Dometic and Norcold have had huge recalls on their fridges for quite number of years. Bound to be some parts around. On another note I urge everyone to check out their fridge serial number on the Dometic and Nor Cold website to make sure you do not have a recall. Frequently it result in fire and can be devastating very quickly. I have seen 2 cases of this locally here this summer. exterior refrigerator vent/service access panel - Don Bradner - 10-28-2010 10:10 On 10/28/2010 at 11:11 AM G Boyd wrote: >On another note I urge everyone to check out their fridge serial number on >the Dometic and Nor Cold website to make sure you do not have a recall. >Frequently it result in fire and can be devastating very quickly. This recall INCLUDES ones that might have been repaired under earlier recalls, as the repair itself is also recalled.
