Replacing glass in door window - fl_bluebird_1983 - 06-26-2005 04:54
I picked up a replacement window glass from BB while at the nest.
Has anyone ever replaced one of these? It is the stationary lower
pane. Looks like I would need to take out all the screws on the inner
frame, and remove the large black molding on the outside? If it is too
involved I'll take it to my local auto glass shop. I hate to do that,
it is like admitting defeat and it costs me money.

Lets try this again
Which window are you replacing? In most cases Glass can be removed
from coach without removing the window frame

be very careful not to damage the paint. BB paints
the coach after the window is installed, not before so
there is some "cling" of the paint to the window.

Stephen,
How do you get those sliding windows out? And then where do you get
the replacement seals or felts or gaskets or whatever those are
called?
My sliders seem to fit rather snug. Can't see how they would be
removed by prying & etc.
The slider gasket on the drivers window is shot and makes for a bit
of wind noise... sure would like to update that!

Sorry lets try this again, the last post I hit enter by mistake. I
have been in New Orleans with no internet. KOA wants 8 bucks a day, I
finally broke down on the third day. I will be replacing the bottom
stationary window in the door on an 83' FC.
