Joanne- Jo-Ski- Stewart - Ernie E - 05-19-2011 23:39

Just found out that Jo-Ski passed away at the age of 61. She was a very talented
lady, an active contributor of this forum, and our condolences go to her
husband, Stewart.

Jo-Ski's passing is very sad to hear and I also extend my condolences to Stew.
Jo-Ski was actively involved with this forum, the Pacific Northwest Birds, and
other Bird groups. She supported this forum and made many suggestions to help
it. In fact, Bird of the Week was something she pushed for with the moderators
after Ernie re-started this forum. When we decided to implement her suggestion,
she wanted absolutely no credit for the idea. Her Bird was the first official
Bird of the Week on July 10, 2005. Based on that picture and others that she
submitted, as well as numerous offline emails over the years, I can tell you
that she was one of those gentle souls that are always trying to help others.
We will be re-running that first Bird of the Week picture later today in honor
of her.

Rest in peace Jo-Ski.
