A few questions.... - chaunceyboyblu - 02-27-2012 06:21 Hello, we have a 1988 PT 40 with a Detroit Diesel 8V92. Does anybody know the Engine speed and horsepower? ENGINE SPEED I suspect 2100 RPM but need to verify HORSEPOWER I suspect 450 HP but need to verify Thanks! Not 100% sure since I sold my 89 PT 40 about five years ago . Which do you have? Again for the WB, typically you will find the engine governed by the DDEC I at 2100 or so under acceleration. Generally OK to go as high as 2300 when decelerating. RPMs probably the same on the narrow body, but I don't know how it is/was governed (did it have DDEC?)
