Left Turn Signal problem on 2000 LXI - luckyron1 - 04-07-2012 03:47

The Left Front turn signal is working as it should. All of the Right turn
signals are working as they should. But, the 2 left side flashers and the Left
Rear turn signal will not even come on. I've replaced the Left rear turn signal
bulb and have cleaned up the bulb contact but still nothing. I suspect a fuse
or a relay issue. Anybody had this problem? Thanks.

Had the same problem on my 94. It needed a new "flasher". Standard 2 prong
automotive type flasher available at auto part store. The trick would be
locating it on your bird. Schematics might help.

Ron,
Your problem sounds more like a ground problem than a flasher problem. Get a length of wire with alligator clips on both ends. Attach one to a good clean attachment point on your chassis, and with the turn signals on, touch the other end to the ground side of your light fixture. See if the light starts flashing. If so, your problem is the ground for that light. Do the same for the others that aren’t working. Fix the grounding situation and they should work.

Thanks for the input guys. I have determined that the flasher is ok, and that
the relay is ok , and that there is no power to the blinker back there. We had
some tv/stereo work done last fall and I now suspect that they inadvertently
disconnected a wire under there somewhere, probably one of the wires feeding
into the fender camera unit because I can no longer see the left or the right
view when the turn signal is on. I've made them aware of it and will be taking
it in there soon for correction.

Left Turn Signal problem on 2000 LXI - luckyron1 - 05-01-2012 23:26

Thanks for all of the good ideas guys!
The problem was solved by an RV Tech at Motorhomes of Texas on Monday. As it
turned out, the LT wiring had shorted out some where in the vicinity of the
cannon plug. No cannon plugs available there so a very functional splice was
done and now we are back on the road again.
