A non-Bird of the Week - mbulriss - 05-26-2012 07:54 It's not often that a non-Bird is featured on the Bird of the Week feature, but this one is too intriguing to pass up. It's perhaps the most interesting toad I have seen since Lucas Willemse's 1966 Citroen 2CV or Steve Gureasko's 1958 Edsel wagon. Both of these can be seen in the Bird of the Week Photo Album if you have not seen them. I've seen Class A or buses towing camping trailers behind them, but this class B is probably the first I remember seeing as a toad. I went to the web to find more info and I note that it built on a Sprinter 2500 Cargo Van chassis with a Mercedes Benz V-6 diesel engine, so you have a common fuel supply between Bird and toad. I noted that is is also an economical toad rated at an estimated 22 miles per gallon. According a press release, the 2013 Sprinter will also be available in a 4x4 presenting even more possibilities. Very intriguing idea! If you would like too see your Bird (and/or toad) featured on the Bird of the Week, please send in a photo with information on the vehicle(s) using the links below the Bird of the Week picture. Have a great weekend. Mike Bulriss 1991 WB40 "Texas Minivan" San Antonio, TX - current location Buckhorn Lake - Kerrville, TX A non-Bird of the Week - Ernie Ekberg - 05-26-2012 09:58
A non-Bird of the Week - magnus caeruleus avis - 05-26-2012 10:58 Now that's just about the "coolest" thing I ever seen. How much does it weigh, by the way? Wonder if you could use your Buddy Plug while parked? Good point, if one "got run off from home" while traveling, one would not have to go far. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, Ernie Ekberg > > Mike, I worked for a fella in Santa Barbara that had one of those as a toad.
