"TankEyes " on 450 LXi - dentmac - 08-06-2013 09:02 Good Morning, Anyone know of the manufacturer that supplied "TankEyes" which was used in the 450s' as the tank level indicators. Thank you, Ross RE: "TankEyes " on 450 LXi - davidbrady - 08-06-2013 09:59 Hi Ross, I'm sure one of the M450 guys will chime in soon. In the meantime I searched for "tank monitor" on ebay and an almost endless list of suppliers came up. Yours might be one of them. Do you have a pic of your control panel? There's some pretty cool technology out there. RE: "TankEyes " on 450 LXi - davidbrady - 08-06-2013 10:58 Well I gave it a good solid 5 minute college try on Ebay, Google, and everything else and I can't find a panel that looks like that. (just trying to find something that has the same number of leds, location, and pattern)... nothing! RE: "TankEyes " on 450 LXi - dentmac - 08-06-2013 13:21 The one in the galley is just a repeater from the one in the water bay. Switching to a different brand would be PIA as there are 9 "Levels" - Shame to lose that accuracy. RE: "TankEyes " on 450 LXi - ernie ekberg - 08-06-2013 22:05 has anyone removed that item and see if there is a manufacturers mark on the reverse side? Yes already done. Apparently the mfg name is not the same as the device. They have disappeared. RE: "TankEyes " on 450 LXi - dentmac - 08-06-2013 22:43 Removing both...No print or numbers.Nada. On the tank with the probs, there is a powered 'optitron" level switch by Dwyer Industries ,indiana. I took pics when i was at the coach. The site shows nothing like the Tankeyes. Obviously made for Blue Bird with their logo. Are the same ones used on the M380?No, the M380 uses a 4-level indicator identical to the one in my (your) '90. Interesting that tankEyes shows "tm" because a trademark search doesn't turn it up, just Tankeye, belonging to the GOAD company and not related to this type of monitor. |
