Got all that mess out and have started to rebuild the frame. Had to put the outside trim on and added putty tape and put the grill back on as it is going to rain big time. Haven't taken any reconstruction photos, yet. I have 9 new batteries to install. The engine batteries were marginal- so- I'm going to replace those, also

Ernie,
If you need any help lifting all those batteries give me a call!
Just did all 11 of mine, too!

Bob ,

If you have a little spare time earl Jan , I d like to remove my Non Working Steerable Tag and install a liftable Tag axle Smile Smile Interested ?? lol Honestly , It is either repair or replace . I had a liftable tag on a Prevost I owned and I liked it very much . I even used to go to the toll booths and say I have 2 axles lol it worked some times

3 batteries in yesterday. went to move coach from front drive to side lot, found out squirrels had eaten the wire loom of the Allison. Got to get that fixed and kill rodents. not good

Bob, if you are a wiring guru or have some thoughts on this I'll be home all day today

Wow! Ernie,

That is not good! Splicing the wires with butt splices would be the quick & easier way to fix it but I believe I would have Allison replace the whole run of wires. Do you have an Allison service center close by? Do you know if the Allison will shift well enough to drive the bus?

Temporarily splicing the wires to get it to an Allicon dealer may be an option but I would definately replace the wires.

I noticed rodents had destroyed some of my blue paper shop towel roll stored in one of the cargo bays. Pesky little creatures!!
Coincidently I read a story on AOL about a gal who developed a natural rodent repellant.
Here is a link to the cheapest place I found on the net to order it.
Her story is interesting also.

I have no interest in this product other than I hope it works!

Ernie, when I had a wiring bundle chafe and short, I used a buss bar with screw terninals in a sealed enclosure to repair it. No butt connectors, plus you can measure each wire with a meter by just removing the cover. I have some nice enclosures about 6 inch square if you haven't got it fixed yet.

coach was towed to Inland truck in Irving, Tx. Class A facility. Clean, employee owned, I'm impressed. Harness was in stock in Houston, had to ship to Irving.
Lots of wiring had been removed by the now deceased squirrels. And many pieces are yet to be discovered in the squirrel estate nests. Lock and loaded. Ready on the left, ready on the right, ready on the firing line. Commence firing-
