Window Removal for repair
I have a 1991 WLWB that I purchased 3 years ago and am slowly rehabilitating. The fixed glass on the windows behind driver and passenger seats have numerous cracks and need replacing. Unfortunately I have been unable to determine how to remove them for repair. Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated.

RE: Window Removal for repair
Hi DLFezatte, welcome to the forum.
I believe you have Hehr windows. Go to our search page and type Hehr into the Google Custom Search tool at the top of the page. You should find several references to repairing Hehr windows. If you don't find what you need, I'd call Hehr to get their opinion. They have service manuals on their website which might be of use: http://www.hehrintl.com/servicemanuals.htm. The window should be installed using a bedding compound, probably a urethane but I'd check with Hehr. For a sealant around the window I'd also use a window adhesive urethane which should be available at Carquest, Napa, or any of the other automotive chains. david brady, '02 Wanderlodge LXi 'Smokey' (Sold), '04 Prevost H3 Vantare 'SpongeBob' "I don't like being wrong, but I really hate being right" |
