5 star torx-type tamper proof screw?
Hi all. I'm trying to adjust the injection pump on my Cummins 8.3
pusher in my '98 Q-buses. However, there are these tamper-proof screws
in it. Some are Torx, and the other are a 5-star type. Is there a
techinical name for this type of head, and better yet, where can I get
them? I've called parts stores around here and no one has them. Maybe
if I knew what they were called I could order some on Ebay.

thanks,
Steve

Just last week, found a "Swiss-knife" -like, gadget
containing multi sizes of 'em at NAPA for $2.99.
Similar to the Allen wrenches that are common. No
name on it, however.

Steve,

Sears has a specialty fastener tool. It has about 30 different bits not
normally seen with conventional tools (anti-theft fasteners, etc.). I think
it's about $25.

Snap-On has tamper proof torx bits. The fact that they are tamper
proof suggests that the manufacturer does not want to encourage removal.
