Coolant Leak at Front Corner of 1993 WL on Passenger Side....Please HELP!
Howdy, WL_Forum family.
We need HELP. We were using our hydronic heating system this past week. However, we have discovered a coolant leak. There is a coolant leak(drip) at the front corner of our 1993 WL, on the passenger side. I am uploading photos of the area of this leak.(Pearce 1993 Coolant Leak) The coolant is dripping onto the grill-type metal that is next to the HELLA cover. Jackis trying to find the source of this leak. He has removed the front nose cover(under the windshield wipers) to expose the heater core of the OH dash heater . The front of the core is DRY. And the area between the nose cover and the core is bone dry. Jack can see the coolant dripping on one of the headlights, as he is lying on his back under the front of the coach. What is the procedure for removing the headlight assembly? He is trying to dismantle the right front corner section of the coach. Lots of struggling and cursing going on outside. That is why I am INSIDE!! It has been suggested to us that Jack check a petcock that is supposed to be on the top of the core. Any suggestions, ideas or recommendations as to how to FIND this leak, petcock and/or drain hoses would REALLY be appreciated. It is cold down here is SE Florida and we would like to use our hydronic heating system. BUT we can't until we stop that leak. Thanks, Jack Pearce Regards, Jack and Liz Pearce Fulltiming in a 1993 Wanderlodge WB40 Homesick Texans in SE. FL [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

The front heater core is not part of the hydronic system. It should be on a separate loop. R.E. UPDATE ON COOLANT LEAK!!
Jack discovered an open petcock on the heater core and closed that thing. Problem solved. However, this petcock is NOT the easiest thing to find. I am uploading photos to that effect. I am going to name the Album as Hidden Petcock. Thanks to Ron M. for his reply. Appreciate it. Regards, Jack and Liz Pearce Fulltiming in a 1993 Wanderlodge WB40 Homesick Texans in SE. FL |

Coolant Leak at Front Corner of 1993 WL on Passenger Side....Please HELP!
I believe that petcock is the bleeder for getting air out of the
chassis heating system. Such a petcock is also found in the front of the 89SP. The SP has another one, either behind the left rear engine access door or on the left side behind the rear engine cover, cannot remember which. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Jack and Liz Pearce" > > UPDATE ON COOLANT LEAK!! > > Jack discovered an open petcock on the heater core and closed that > thing.
