Electrical connection paint
Folks,
Most of my electrical connections which are exposed to the weather, specifically in the engine compartment, are painted with a brown paint. Any one know what this coating is and who makes it. It appears to be a paint, but it may be a grease of some sort. Thanks David Brady '02 LXi, Smokey, Va |

That brown "paint" is not liquid electrical tape . It is battery
terminal protector. Comes in a spray can and is available at most auto parts stores. For the best value in a large can just go to any large battery dealer. Bruce |

If the paint is brown in color, like primer. It probably is epoxy High
tempeture used as an insulation coating on electic motors. Or GE glyptol primer. Allen Powell 1988 WLWB |
