Windows Software Validation

I'm getting messages that read..."this copy of windows is not
genuine"... is anyone getting this message besides me? Have had my PC
and software for over a year.

Also, not seeing much activity on the forums today. Anyone experiencing
the same?

Curt,

I think that message is displayed when you try to download Windows updates,
and your Windows operating system in that particular computer isn't registered
to you, or it has never been registered at all.

If your copy of XP home was not registered it would not work. That
message appears if your Win XP is an illegal copy. Dont ask me how I
know this fact!!
