I'll have to say that SOME bluebirds are like SOME Harley's.......... IF you
have one that is Pretty much "MINT" then the books that tell you the value can be thrown out the windows..... IF you ever fooled with Harley's I guess you know what I mean..... I've seen some in the late 40's and 50's go for prices that I couldn't even imagine... JUST Because they were PRISTINE......... Some people place different values on things than others....... Maybe it's because they have more to give .......... I 'm not sure........ All we did was advertise this coach ........... and tell the truth.... We never twisted anyone's arms to BID ... you can be trusted...... All the bids came from great distances...... for the most part....Have a good christmas........ Wish You well.... Crusademan and Tom ....... Gregory OConnor god but It doesnt take 50G's for me to express my praise. I'll pray for the folk at the giving end of the wicker basket you pass. If the fat lady sings in this deal, the eggnog had a lasting effect. Cognative disonance and buyer remource is easy to ease with scripture and isle rolling......... Third person authorship of the seller combined to the after purchase
stance of "didnt twist an arm", "no misrepresentation" smells. Then the confusion of 'He has for sale' and 'I have for sale'. Posted questons that do as much advertising as the 'answers from the pulpit'. Now after the gut wrenching sale of the beloveded bird you ;or he ;or you both ;or he and his wife ;or the three of you decided to part with the other 1988pt. Please.... I was turned off at the start by "no pets" GregoryO'Connor Molly, Snoopy, Daffie, Lucy, Gretta, Piglett, Nash, Hillary, and Roxie and oh yea..........Tim 94ptRomolandCa --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "GRSmith, 111" > > I'll have to say that SOME bluebirds are like SOME Harley's.......... Thanks...... for the response.....
OK now that you have opened pandoras box I have a little more to say.
Please dont keep saying "the coach was pretty much MINT". Bluebirds are not vintage Harley Davidsons we polish and show off at shows. The bluebirds are used by our members when ever they get a chance and are depended on to give service where ever we chose to go with them. For some they live in them full time and its not nice to break down beside the road in a beautiful motorhome you thought was MINT. I am not saying the 1983 FC35 is not a nice coach but what I am saying is I have no way of knowing by the information you provided. The exterior was exceptionally nice but you produced nothing that indicated the rest of the coach was MINT. What was sold was a 1983 FC 35 in very nice EXTERNAL condition. As far as the way you described it there was no way of telling what condition the engine, transmission and rear end were in since it had over 120,000 miles on them. Was the coolant kept up so there was no block deterioration during its life? Have the injectors, seals etc been replaced anytime during its life? Valves and rack adjusted? Original brake chambers and hoses? Original battery boilers still installed? Batteries when were they replaced and what kind are they? And what condition are the roof A/C in and are they originals? The fact is you concentrated on the condition of the exterior of the coach and totally avoided pictures of the engine, radiator system, generator etc made me suspicious. In my opinion it doesnt matter at this point what the condition of the coach was or if the winning buyer paid to much or to little for the coach. What IS important at least to me and the reason I support this forum is that hopefully members of this forum will have learned a lesson because of the comments some of us have made. This forum was started to assist each other in maintaining our coaches in good condition and advise those less capable of upgrades to our coaches that may be of value to other members. I believe we also have a responsibility to EDUCATE members that are looking for a bluebird as to how to properly evaluate and find a bluebird that proves to be of value to them. That means I would advise someone looking for a Bluebird to look at the entire coach and not just at the exterior or it. Also I would advise anyone looking for a bluebird to make full use of this forum by asking questions about your potential purchase. You can never ask to many questions and if you are shy and dont ask it may cost you big money. Benjamin Franklin had a saying which I believe is pertenent here: " Make a decison in haste and repent at your leisure" Excellent advice since bluebirds are not cheap. But they are a fantastic motorhome. Tom warner vernon center,ny 1985 PT 40 At 09:49 PM 12/25/2006, you wrote: >I'll have to say that SOME bluebirds are like SOME >Harley's..........
