Electrical relay under sink 84FCSB

[Keith Strehle]

As luck would have it, that's the only outside door that doesn't
open. The latch is broken and it (was) low on my list of stuff to
fix. I can take out the four hinge screws and take a look. (I need
to fill the windshield washer tank anyway) But why would there be an
inverter and no switch to turn it on/off?

Well that thing is not quite an inverter. It is a DC motor turning a small
generator, a real power gobbler. It would be wired directly to your batteries
with a contactor for starting/stopping. That relay by the way is in behind the
rediline LOL. SO, go for it and OPEN that door hehe.

Okay, this is starting to make sense... I think? So, I should start
the engine and see if I have power to those outlets?

I'll try all the suggestions tonight and let you know tomorrow.

Bill, do you have one of these gadgets on your coach? And do you
have any switches inside the coach to operate it? Like Bill (88FC
Mich) said, either way the relay must be bad because I don't get
power to the outlets when plugged into shore power?

Keith:

You will need to plug in a 100 watt trouble light to one of the plugs under
the sink, or turn on the ice maker. The rediline has to self sense a load
for it to run. There are no ready switches in the FC's like the PT's have.
