There is a red light switch in the cabinet under the sink on my 86
PT38. I have not seen this described in the manual...what is it?
Insta-hot? Inverter? Flux Capacitor?

Thanks

Assuming that you don't have the "Back-to-the-future" model (can you
get it to 79-1/2 mph?) it's not the Flux Capacitor. My bird has two
red switches just below the kitchen sink. They are labeled (a big
help -- something that sometimes takes BB several years to institute)
"Konstant Hot" and "Engine Heater". Both of them only work when
connected to AC (either shore power or generator). If you have a
Insta-hot/Konstant-Hot unit installed on your kitchen sink, that's
probably the switch for it. Otherwise, it may be an engine heater.

The inverter switch is a 'breaker' type switch that's normally
located somewhere near where the inverter is installed.

I have 3 switches under my sink. Insta hot, Electric water heater
which really makes the 6 gallon water heater HOT, and Engine Block Heater.
Incidentily, you can check their operation by watching the amp meter
nedle move when you turn the switch on or off, provided you are
plugged in.
