Kerosene to clean injectors ?
The fuel oil man was making a delivery to my house while I had my
Bird idling to charge up the air system. As ususl there was some blue /
grey smoke coming out of the exhaust until it warmed up. He suggested
that I add some kerosene to the fuel and it would clean the injectors.
Kerosene and diesel being very close to one another, chemically and BTU
wise, with kerosene having less viscosity and less lubricating
propertiies. He also stated that the fuel companies are now taking the
sulphur by product from the refining of low sulphur fuel and are
dumping into the normal the #2 oil !!! He suggested I could put ss much
as 50 gallons into my 150 gallon tank. Any thoughts or experience with
this ?

Filled my F250 with Kero once by mistake, called Ford. OK to drive it
out, you will loose about 25% mileage Power.
They were correct Pete

Kerosene to clean injectors ?
The problem with adding somthing to the tank to clean the injectors
is it may clean the tank and sends the crap to the injectors. I
remove the fuel filter and add 50% Automatic trans fluid 50% diesel.
some times I will add fuel injector cleaner. dirty injectors show up
in power and mpg. The 3208's I had smoked due to piston/block/ring
metal not at operating temp thus not at tolerance. If all of a sudden
you stop showing loss of oil at the dipstick, that could also be a
sign that the injectors are pissing and dropping fuel pass the rings
