Information needed as where to locate a differential unit for my bus
Trying to get all my ducks in a row in order to make an intelligent
decision on how much I will need to replace my third member with taller gears. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated. Would like to install a rebuilt set of gears and so the information I would need would be locations of business's that deal in this area. Thanks Jon |

Jon, there may be another option to consider...a two speed transmission before
the differential. Then you have a low range for hills and a higher range for level cruise. Jon,
I found the invoice for the parts for the gear change in my FC. I can't find the paperwork for the installation, it probaly wasn't put in the Bluebox by the PO. The gears were $1,495. The supplier was CCC Truck parts, P.O box 2003, 150 Central Ave. Teterboro, NJ 07608, 201-288-9333. Part number XTD R140R4.88 and is described as 'Ratio Change' Gardner 78FC33 --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Stephen Birtles" > > take the tag number off the rear end and hunt up a set of gears it is > stamped in the housing and there should also be a tag attached to the > rear end they will be available locally and through out the states > from various suppliers > Stephen 77fc35 > dupreeproducts.com > > > --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Jon" > > > > Trying to get all my ducks in a row in order to make an intelligent > > decision on how much I will need to replace my third member with taller > > gears.
