Bay door spring studs & nuts

Bay door spring studs & nuts

I broke one of the ball studs that attach the gas spring or strut to the door.
After replacing it ,I discovered that the other studs on some doors had backed off from the attaching nut. This may be some thing all of us should check,one reason being that door hurts when it comes down on your HEAD!!
If you need to take it apart,lube the ball before assembly and get some new 5/16 lock nuts.

Good advice for sure. Something to add to the annual maintenance list.
