Holding tanks frozen. Now what?
I live in it part of the time. If you're familiar with the term "man
cave", it's easy to understand. -Ryan '86 PT-40 8V92 On 1/4/09, Leroy Eckert > > Ryan, are you living in the coach this winter? Holding tanks frozen. Now what?
Hey Ryan, I live in my PT40 part of each week too when I'm in Billings. Coldest temps so far (Dec) this winter was 34 below. I have an air hook up to clear my water system in about 2 minutes. I use my on board water tank for water source & unhook the hose after each fill. Rock salt in the holding tanks too. Last year, I pulled all of the copper pipe & old heat tapes out & replaced with PEX. So far, no freeze ups this winter. I have one of the constant hot water circulating pumps that I may add to the water system if I get tired of draining the water system each week. It does work thanks to the PEX & the fact that I do drain the system at about -15 or colder. Terry Neal 82PT40 6V92TA 73FC31 6V53T Bozeman, Montana Ryan Wright wrote:
