Do those sharps have a flat stainless bottom to cope with being mounted in the heat over the stove?

Purchase the model with the exhaust fan and lights in the bottom.
Jenn-Air also makes a model that fits well. It mounts differently though.

Ralph,

I did buy the Sharp you recommended and it does fit quite nicely.
And, it looks good with the black color. I thought about the
stainless but it was about $80 more and someone posted and said not
much showed anyways (they were right).

Thanks again for the suggestion. You certainly saved me a bunch of
time and effort searching for something that fit near perfect.

Does any of the big box stores stock this Microwave???

Most seem to be a special order and shipping

Bill,

I couldn't find it locally at any of the stores. I ended up ordering
it online at a place called Etronics. I think I paid about $411
which included shipping.

It does fit nicely in the existing space.

Jerry, am glad it worked out for you. I have seen that unit installed and
it does look good. The actual ground work was done by a member of this
Forum, Mike McMahan in Waco, Tx and I just passed the findings on to you.

Bill:

I checked with Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy and Sears. None have it in
stock but a few said they could order. I have a feeling that the units
are no longer being mfrd. and that is why it is available only online.
I too found that Etronic price. I will be ordering one very soon.
