Al- Raccoon Creek State Park has camping. Check out
[http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateParks/p...aythenight] Not sure what sizes they can accomodate or what services they have- but it should be quiet this time of year. It would be about 20 mins north of Washington. It is not overly steep, but you should plan about an hour + for the trip. I live about 30 minutes from racoon park and they have a short but VERY steep entrance. The campground is nice enough but most sites are for smaller rigs. I remember some are dry camping and about half are electric. Can't recall water. If I was you, I stick with Wash. I-79/70 KOA. Its close and where you want to go. Motorhome wise, I am about 2 hours from Washington. Juergen in PA 1991 WLSP 36 |
