Single hole pull out kitchen faucet in 2000 LXI

Looked like a simple job at first glance. Ordered the brushed nickle one from
PPL motorhomes. Got it, looks good. Checked out the installation instructions
& hell even I could do it. Looked again, not so fast, the sink is in the
kitchen slide out and the copper water lines coming off of the faucet are of
different lengths then the ones coming out of the new one. I sure don't want to
get involved in any pipe cutting/welding, and I'm not sure if those poly red and
white water lines will pull/push adjust once I get the old one out of there.
Maybe I should call a plumber? Anyone been there?

We got ours at Lowes. The new faucet had shorter supply lines coming out. So
just got some short braided hook up lines, had to get two new brass reducers so
the braided could hook up to the BB supply lines. The braided lines were a
little long, so just put a loop in the braided lines and hooked up. Did the
same thing on the two vanity faucets we replaced.

Yeah... the lines coming out of the new one are a little bit longer than the
ones coming out of the original. I'm going to have to either cut them back or
push them back I'm afraid. Who knows what kind of problems I might run into
there. I'm thinking.... maybe I ought to try it with the slide in. Anyone else
out there?

I know that without any new installation, we ended up with water and air leaks in the hoses that went through the slide to the toilet that resulted in the slide having to be removed. I think you're right to be afraid of the unknown.

I finally managed to remove and replace the original faucet. A real learning
experience. The original had odd sized female coupling, i.e. threaded nuts on
the ends. The new one had male coupling, i.e. just 1/2" threaded ends. I had
to use 20" SS 1/2" x 3/8" braided lines between the faucet and the water lines.
The original connection had a 1/2" brass nipple with a cone washer on the supply
side and an odd sized brass reducer nipple on the faucet side, which I had to
change out to a 3/8" to match the braided line. I had wanted to eliminate the
reducer and go 1/2" all the way but I could not find a 1/2" double nipple
configured for a cone washer on the supply end. A real learning experience.
